The black knot seen at 24 μm in the direction of the H ii region is a result of saturation. The 70 μm image is unsharped to better emphasize the YSOs associated with the region. Nineteen YSOs are pinpointed with the identity number given by ZA06. The compact H ii region (CH ii) is delineated with the dashed circle. The full box locates the exciting stars composed of a cluster of O stars (Martins et al. 2010). The dashed boxes mark the other three regions (RegA, RegB, and RegC) associated with RCW 79.
