Notes. The frequency resolution of the Montjoie simulations is Δν = 0.5μHz. Simulation #1 was performed using Eq. (6)and simulation #2 includes the second-order term u·∇(u·∇ψ). For the ADIPLS calculations, the odd a-coefficients are obtained from the rotational sensitivity kernels. The modified ADIPLS calculation ignores gravity terms. See main text.
