Aggregate pull-off forces as a function of their size for the two types of dust investigated in the SPACE suborbital flight experiment, i.e. monodisperse (diamonds) and polydisperse SiO₂ (triangle). Linear fits through the data and the origin are also shown, with slopes of 7.6 × 10^-4 (dashed line) and 9.8 × 10^-4 (dotted line) for the two dust types, respectively. The smaller aggregates composed of monodisperse dust are assumed to detach in clumps of four aggregates.
