Excess of line-of-sight velocity of the ionised gas with respect to the stars (vgasvstars) as given by y = | v0.1 gas | − | v99.9 stars |, plotted as a function of the offset from the local MS of star-forming galaxies. In the upper panel the outflow velocity is measured from [OIII] and in the lower panel from Hα. As in Fig. 17, only bins with either σy< 50 km s-1 or | y | ≥ 2σy are shown. The black stars indicate the mean trend, obtained by averaging the data points (weighted with their errors) over bins of Δlog (SFR/SFRMS) = 0.5.
