The vertical red line indicates the expected color of an old passively evolving population, whereas the dashed lines mark the color range where red galaxies are counted. Error bars are -based for illustration only. Error bars of the control field color distribution are omitted to avoid crowding, and are negligible with respect to the cluster color distribution.
