Spatial positions of all detected stars in NGC 1783 field on the ACS/WFC chip. The circle indicates the core radius of the cluster and the center of the cluster is indicated with a (red) asterisk symbol. We used the rectangle, shown at the bottom of the chip, as our reference field region for the statistical removal of field stars from the cluster region. The white line containing no stars is due to the gap between the two detector chips.
