Kernel probability density functions for the relevant abundance ratio, [V/Ca], that allows the discrimination of dwarfs with and without giant planets. The color code blue and red is used to indicate stars with and without planets, respectively. These abundance ratio was found to distinguish dwarfs with respect to their planet-harboring status, in a similar role to what is played by the linear discriminant indices.
