Compactness as a function of redshift for those IFRS with redshift information. VLBA-detected IFRS are shown by crosses and the 6.75σ upper limits on the compactness of VLBA-undetected IFRS are shown by arrows. Three spectroscopic (red markers) and seven photometric (black markers) redshifts were used in this analysis. Note that the errors on the compactness are around 20%.
