CT: Compton-thick; NCT: No Compton-thick (i.e. Compton-thin); CTc: Compton-thick candidate using indirect arguments (see text); (4) Logarithm of the intrinsic X-ray luminosity in the 2−10 keV band; (5) logarithmic of the mid-IR luminosity obtained with Spitzer at 12 μm. In parenthesis, the mid-IR luminosity obtained with ground-based observations is shown, when available. Weak: EW(PAH 6.2 μm) < 0.233 μm. Strong: EW(PAH 6.2 μm) > 0.233 μm. Deep: τ9.7 μm> 1.25. (11) classification according to the steepness of the mid-IR spectrum (i.e. log (νLν(20 μm) /νLν(30 μm))). Steep: log (νLν(20 μm) /νLν(30 μm)) > −0.24.
