Absolute magnitude in the W2-band (~4.6 μm) as a function of spectral type for M6–L5 dwarfs in the database of ultracool parallaxes (Dupuy & Liu 2012; grey symbols) and for our survey sample with parallaxes from (Sahlmann et al. 2014b; black symbols). Magnitude uncertainties of the latter are smaller than the symbol size. Tight binaries in our sample are shown with open circles. DE0630−18 (M8.5) is seen to have a magnitude similar to other ultracool dwarfs.
