Amplitude versus time: in continuous line we show the amplitude of the rotational lightcurve for an assumed triaxial shape of Chiron (with axial ratios a/c = 1.43 and b/c = 1.2) and using the nominal pole direction determined from the stellar occultations (λ ~ 144°, β ~ 24°). The diamond symbols represent the observed amplitudes for the specific dates of observation (see text). As can be seen, the model provides agreement with the observations.
