Flowchart of the PLUTO-CLOUDY Interface. Affiliation of modules is indicated by colored boxes. PLUTO solves the hydrodynamic evolution and CLOUDY the ionization and chemical equilibrium state of the gas under strong irradiation. Communication is achieved through the interface, which also handles the interpolation between the two different grid structures.
