Evolution of the second Love number k2, the dissipation Q-factor, and phase lag k2sinδ as a function of the tidal frequency ω (normalized by the relaxation time τ). For all parameters there is a transition of regime around τω ~ 1. We use here the Earth values for the Love numbers, ke = 0.3 and kf = 0.9 (Yoder 1995).
