The random halo catalogue was generated with the merger tree algorithm of Parkinson et al. (2008). The red dashed, solid black, and green dotted curves indicate the mass functions proposed by Press & Schechter (1974; PS), Tinker et al. (2008; Tinker), and Sheth & Tormen (1999; ST).
