For comparison the contribution from cosmic rays following Spitzer (1978) and Wolfire et al. (2003) and CXB is also shown. The X-ray (1 keV) contribution dominates compared with the cosmic rays (assuming the same energy density as the solar neighborhood) in a significant part of the Galaxy.
