Fig. 10

Top panel: abundance comparisons with classical (Draco: triangles, Sextans: three-pointed asterisks, Ursa Minor: squares) and ultra-faint (Coma Berenices: pentagons, Hercules: stars, Ursa Major II: asterisks) dwarf galaxies from the literature (Aoki et al. 2009; Cohen & Huang 2009, 2010; Frebel et al. 2010; Koch et al. 2008). For comparison, the abundance data for MW halo giants extracted from the SAGA database (Suda et al. 2008) (R > 30 000 with no flags of “C-rich” nor of “CEMP”) and from Ishigaki et al. (2012) are plotted with crosses and dots, respectively. Bottom panels: mean [Mg/Fe] ratios for each galaxy plotted against velocity dispersion (σlos, left) and luminosity (log L(L⊙), right) for that galaxy. The σlos and L data are taken from Walker et al. (2009).
Current usage metrics show cumulative count of Article Views (full-text article views including HTML views, PDF and ePub downloads, according to the available data) and Abstracts Views on Vision4Press platform.
Data correspond to usage on the plateform after 2015. The current usage metrics is available 48-96 hours after online publication and is updated daily on week days.
