H-band NIR spectroscopy of the normal SN 1999ee (Hamuy et al. 2002) and the sub-luminous Type Ia SN 1999by (Höflich et al. 2002), compared to the Type Iax SNe 2012Z, 2005hk (Kromer et al. 2013), 2008ge, and 2010ae. The SNe Iax spectra are ordered (top to bottom) from brightest to faintest, and the epoch with respect to maximum light is indicated for each object. Co ii features appear to be a ubiquitous signature of SNe Iax class, showing increased prominence in the lowest velocity objects.
