Maximum possible value of | E_m | (see Fig. 4) E_max caused by a body of radius r_m vs. the miss distance to shadow center. Here we give examples with r_m = 0.2, 03, 0.4 and 0.5 km, assuming a Fresnel scale of F_S = 2 km. Due to the ripples surrounding the moonlet shadow (Fig. 4), the maximum value of | E_m | exhibits rapid fluctuations that have been averaged out for clarity by binning the results over intervals of 1.2 km.
