Directly measured metallicity at the host center and at the SN distance vs. host galaxy MB. A low central metallicity has been found for low-luminous galaxies, a higher metallicity for the luminous ones. This is consistent with previous studies concerning the luminosity-metallicity relation. The metallicity gradient explains why also the SNe hosted by bright galaxies were found at sub-solar metallicity.
