Filled (open) symbols are stars with definite (absent or uncertain) CO band head emission. Based on the object types in Table 1, circles are B[e]SGs, diamonds represent LBVs, triangles show YHGs, and the square is the Peculiar Oe star. Dashed lines between symbols indicate LBV variable parameters. Also plotted is the Humphreys-Davidson limit (dotted line, Humphreys & Davidson 1994).
