The red lines show the DGMFs of the California Cloud and Orion A (Kainulainen et al. 2009a), and of G11 with the same spatial resolution and column density range. The figure also shows a blue line indicating the slope of an exponential fit to the the mean DGMF of ten IRDCs from Kainulainen & Tan (2013). The fit was done to the DGMFs above N(H2) ≳ 7 × 1021 cm-2.
