Derived radial velocity (filled symbols, scale on the left) and magnetic field strength (open symbols, scale on the right) as a function of pulsation phase. As expected, no correlation between the two quantities is present in the data: at several occasions very different magnetic values are measured at a given pulsation phase. The observed system velocity and the difference between the observed and calculated phase of the maximum radial velocity confirm the predicted values for the star in its binary orbit near periastron passage.
