The positron mean free path. The black line represents the mean free path obtained using the slab turbulence model and gyroresonant interactions, which exhibit a cutoff at particle energies less than 2 × 108 eV. The red line is the mean free path obtained using the dynamical magnetic slab turbulence, or the random sweeping slab turbulence model, which exhibit a sharp cutoff at particle energies of 1010 eV. The blue line is the mean free path obtained using isotropic magnetosonic damped plasma wave turbulence, which remains constant for particle energies from 105 eV to 1012 eV. All mean free paths are normalized with respect to the λ1 value.

Current usage metrics show cumulative count of Article Views (full-text article views including HTML views, PDF and ePub downloads, according to the available data) and Abstracts Views on Vision4Press platform.

Data correspond to usage on the plateform after 2015. The current usage metrics is available 48-96 hours after online publication and is updated daily on week days.

Initial download of the metrics may take a while.
