Comparison of X-ray and V-band luminosities and efficiencies for pulsars of different characteristic age τ detected in both spectral domains. Different pulsars are marked by different symbols. PSR J1048–5832 is shown by the red star. The two dependencies of the pulsar efficiencies with age demonstrate an efficiency minimum near the Vela age, and the Vela-like J1048 − 5832 naturally occupies a place near this minimum.
