This side view shows the stellar beam coming from the telescope (above) being reflected towards M10 and the metrology beams coming from the laboratory being reflected on themselves by the assembly of the spherical mirrors RR2 and RR3 and the compensation plate RR1. In this view, the metrology beams enter horizontally from the right, after reflection off M10. The light that is seen to traverse M9 downwards is the visible portion of the stellar beam propagating towards the fast quadcell image sensor.
