Distance estimates are taken from Galloway et al. (2008).
For GX 339-4 we adopt the distance as suggested by Zdziarski et al. (2004).
The distance for GX 9+9 is the mean value between those ones provided by Christian & Swank (1997) and Zdziarski et al. (2004).
