Polarization map of IRS 8 and its surrounding sources. Polarization was measured on nondeconvolved images and corrected for background, foreground, and instrumental polarization. Polarization vectors were determined with the techniques mentioned in Sect. 2 and are scaled to twice the size of the vectors in Fig. 2. The surrounding sources show approximately no residual intrinsic polarization, indicating a proper calibration and subtraction of the foreground polarization. This calibrated map is used for Lucy-Richardson deconvolution.
