Sequences of models in which the parameter κ has the values of 80, 40, 20, 10, and 5. The larger κ, the closer the model to standard models with a Maxwell-Boltzmann electron energy distribution. These κ sequences differ in their metallicity Z (expressed in Z⊙ units in the line color legend). The dashed magenta line represents a metallicity sequence of standard photoionization models (κ = ∞) (same sequence as in Fig. 2). The light gray arrow illustrates the increase in the TS iii and TO iii temperatures when enhanced Hi excitation is left out from the calculations of the model with Z = 0.01 Z⊙ and κ = 5. In all calculations, we adopted U = 0.01 and an SED consisting of a zero-age instantaneous starburst model from M03 with Msup = 100 M⊙.
