Comparison between scaled gamma-ray flux of the Centaurus A lobes and the upper limits for Hydra A. Fermi and H.E.S.S. limits are shown for Γ = 2.5. Gamma-ray indices are again chosen to approximately match the shape of the predicted spectrum. Here it is assumed that the Hydra A lobes contain electrons with the same spectral characteristics as the Centaurus A lobes and that CMB and EBL are the dominating photon fields which are up-scattered to gamma-ray energies. The gamma-ray flux of the Centaurus A lobes is scaled to a distance of 240 Mpc and to a total energy in electrons of 1060 erg (solid line) and 1pV = 4 × 1060 erg (dotted line), respectively, to account for the different distance and energetics of the Hydra A system.
