Interference data for porous ASW grown on a Si substrate at 15 K following background deposition. The reflected intensity oscillates between constructive and destructive interference as the ice grows. The deposition is stopped at a point with maximum sensitivity to changes in ice thickness. The error in the thickness measured is about 4%.
