Panels a) and b) show Δν vs. Teff for the giants that could not be identified as clump stars based on ΔP. In panel a) the stars have been color-coded according to metallicity. Black diamonds are [Fe/H]  <  −0.5, red squares are  −0.5 ≤  [Fe/H]  < 0.0 and blue triangles 0.0 <  [Fe/H]. In panel b) the stars have been color-coded according to mass. Filled symbols are stars that are confirmed RGB stars based on ΔP. Panels c) and d): same as top panels, but for the red clump stars, identified from their ΔP-value. The filled symbols show the one star identified as belonging to the secondary clump. Note the different scalings on the axes in the top and bottom panels.
