Power law | PL | PL1 | 2 |
Broken power law | BPL | PL1 × CPL12 | 4 |
with transition region
Broken power law with transition region | SEBPL | PL1 × CPL12 × Pile | 6 |
and super-exponential pile up
Double broken power law | DBPL | PL1 × CPL12 × CPL23 | 6 |

Double broken power law | SEDBPL | PL1 × CPL12 × CPL23 × Pile | 8 |
with super-exponential pile up |
Notes. The functions are a power law, a curved power law and a super exponential pile up defined as , respectively, where all energies are normalized to 1 TeV. The smoothness parameters fi are held constant and the break energies
are forced to be positive. Only positive pile up, i.e. Epile > 0, is tested.
