PDF contributions to the mean Hanle depolarization of 0.45 observed in the Sr i 4607 Å line, assuming an isotropic angular distribution. The dashed curve represents the Hanle depolarization factor as a function of field strength. The value 0.45 is reached for 60 G, which would be the field strength of a single-valued PDF. The solid curve is the cumulative contribution to the Hanle depolarization from the PDF for all fields weaker than the given field strength B. The bulk of the contribution comes from the fields weaker than the PDF half width (146 G).

Current usage metrics show cumulative count of Article Views (full-text article views including HTML views, PDF and ePub downloads, according to the available data) and Abstracts Views on Vision4Press platform.

Data correspond to usage on the plateform after 2015. The current usage metrics is available 48-96 hours after online publication and is updated daily on week days.

Initial download of the metrics may take a while.
