Inertias of dipolar and radial modes in the frequency range centered at νmax in Models 1 and 2 are shown in the top panel. For dipolar modes the inner boundary condition was relaxed so that inertia is a continuous function of frequency. The standard outer boundary condition and normalization were adopted in all the cases. The quantity plotted in the bottom panel is a measure of the gravity wave amplitude at the top of the propagation zone.
