Upper panel: the designed VISIR-Mosaic overlain on a 2MASS K-band image. The lower panel shows the central (F#7) VISIR 8.6   μm image. Red circles with  diameter mark areas of potential blending caused by lower-resolution instruments. The circled cross marks the cluster centre. Open squares highlight the identified targets in pointing#7. Also visible are some negative beams of stars that are vertically shifted. This reflects the adopted chopping throw.
