Results of our modelling of the 10 μm feature in IRAS 06338, using silica (model A, left) and alumino-silicates (model B, right). The different dust contributions are: amorphous pyroxene (violet), amorphous silica (blue), enstatite (magenta), forsterite (light green) and NaAlSi₄O₁₀ (cyan). The combined spectrum is given in red. On the bottom we show the residuals of this model, and overplot class B (orange) and class C (dark green) PAH emission features as described by Peeters et al. (2002) and van Diedenhoven et al. (2004).
