Results of our modelling of the 10 μm feature in IRAS 06338, using silica (model A, left) and alumino-silicates (model B, right). The different dust contributions are: amorphous pyroxene (violet), amorphous silica (blue), enstatite (magenta), forsterite (light green) and NaAlSi4O10 (cyan). The combined spectrum is given in red. On the bottom we show the residuals of this model, and overplot class B (orange) and class C (dark green) PAH emission features as described by Peeters et al. (2002) and van Diedenhoven et al. (2004).
