Fragmentation strength of the power-law population. The quantity μpw represents the normalised mass of the most massive member of the power-law population and serves as an indicator of the fragmentation strength. For increasing inhomogeneity, represented by larger values of φσ, μpw at first increases and then decreases again. The increase may be caused by our low quality statistics owing to the small number of fragments.
