The quantity μ_pw represents the normalised mass of the most massive member of the power-law population and serves as an indicator of the fragmentation strength. For increasing inhomogeneity, represented by larger values of φ_σ, μ_pw at first increases and then decreases again. The increase may be caused by our low quality statistics owing to the small number of fragments.
