Notes. Because of the poor statistics on FII-IV stars, all the metallicities were considered to infer the published value. The three last lines represent the accuracies of the method for typical old thin disc dwarfs (log g > 3.9, −0.5 < [M/H] < −0.25 dex), thick disc dwarfs ((log g > 3.9, −1.5 < [M/H] < −0.5 dex) and halo giants (Teff < 6000 K, log g < 3.5, −2.5 < [M/H] < −1.25 dex).
