Shown are the residuals from the Fourier expansion of Fig. 1 (dashed curve) and the residuals from a Sault-Wieringa clean using the same set of Fourier basis functions (half-tone solid curve). For better clarity, values of small magnitude have not been plotted; and a different cutoff was used for each curve. Points falling within the data gap have also been omitted.
