Distribution of apparent major isophotal diameter D₂₅ converted into kpc as a function of g magnitudes, for the 4104 EFIGI galaxies for which these parameters are defined. Different symbols and colours are used for different EM-types (beware of the different spiral grouping from that in Fig. 3). The D₂₅ < 1′ limit is plotted as a dashed line. Galaxies below this diameter limit extend the minimum detectable diameter for a given distance to a lower value.
