Distribution of apparent major isophotal diameter D25 converted into arcminutes as a function of g-magnitudes measured by de Lapparent & Bertin (2011a, in prep.) for the 4204 EFIGI galaxies for which these parameters are defined. Different symbols and colours are used for different EM-types. The histogram of D25 in intervals of 0.1 arcmin, overplotted vertically on a log  scale and with corresponding labels on the top axis of the graph, demonstrates the strong incompleteness in the catalogue for D25 < 1′ and BT > 15.5, materialised by the horizontal and vertical dashed lines. The diagonal dashed line corresponds to a surface brightness limit of 25 mag/arcsec2. The EFIGI catalogue is most complete between these diameter and surface brightness limits, and the crossing of these two lines causes the disappearance of data points fainter than g ~ 16.5.
