Maximum flux error, defined as (max|F(z)/F − 1|), taken over the whole depth of the computation box. F is the nominal flux , and F(z) is the total energy flux (radiative, convective, kinetic, viscous and potential fluxes) averaged over 2 s (or 5 s for the coolest gray and non-gray models) at the end of the simulation. Note that the maximum flux error generally occurs at the base of the simulation and that in the line forming layers, the flux error is much smaller.
