(1980), to have a total magnitude I < 16 mag, and was invisible in Palomar Survey plates (up to a few years ago, UKS 1 was known as “the faintest globular cluster of the Milky Way”). The right panel shows a zoom into the region centered on VVV CL001, corresponding to the white box ().
