Overplotted with red triangles are the observed colours of the spiral galaxies from the ISOPHOT Virgo Cluster Deep Survey (IVCDS; Tuffs et al. 2002a,b; Popescu et al. 2002) and the ISOPHOT Serendipity Survey (Stickel et al. 2000). Only spiral galaxies with Hubble type earlier than Sd are plotted. The white star represents the position of NGC 891 in the colour − colour diagram.
