The group SL2S J02140-0535 at zspec = 0.44. Upper left: composite CFHTLS g,r,i color image (1 square arcmin = 341  ×  341 kpc2). Upper right: composite HST/ACS F814, F606, F475 color image (22″ × 22″ = 125  ×  125 kpc2). Note how the space-based image significantly improves the identification of multiple images and heightens the resolution allowing us to detect the substructure. Lower: CFHTLS i band (7.2′    ×    7.2′ = 2.46 × 2.46 Mpc2) centered on the strong lensing system. We draw in green the luminosity contours (corrected for passive evolution) corresponding to 106, 3 × 106, and 107   L kpc-2, respectively. Red rectangles show the location of the slits used for spectroscopy for the 16 confirmed members of the group and the magenta circle denotes a 1 Mpc distance from the center of the group.
