Hi-GAL 500 μm image (the coordinates are galactic coordinates) of the l = 59° field. Each number is the velocity of a source. The colours correspond to: black: sources most probably associated with Sh2-86 (2.1 kpc), red: near distance (~3 kpc), but not associated with Sh2-86, white: objects with negative velocity (no distance ambiguity,  ~13.5 kpc) or velocity close to 0 km s-1 (far distance favoured,  ~9.5 kpc), blue: objects with forbidden velocity; tangent distance adopted (~4.3 kpc), and green: far distance (~6 kpc). The black ellipses pointed out by arrows are the three infrared bubbles from Churchwell et al. (2006) discussed in the text.

Current usage metrics show cumulative count of Article Views (full-text article views including HTML views, PDF and ePub downloads, according to the available data) and Abstracts Views on Vision4Press platform.
