Classification probabilities P(BHB) for the new sources in the DR7 data set. The abscissa shows the probability returned by the SVM classifier, the ordinate shows the probability after modification with the two dimensional prior (a function of latitude and g magnitude). The horizontal line marks the P = 0.5 threshold above which sources were classified as BHB stars for the purposes of this work. The vertical line shows the equivalent threshold for the SVM raw probabilities assuming a simple prior of P(BHB) = 0.32 for all sources. Contours are at 0.004, 0.006, 0.01, 0.03, 0.09 and 0.12 times the maximum density. The highest density regions lie in the bottom left, top right and in the clump at approximately (0.8, 0.8).
