Notes. $\Delta t$ is the time interval between two consecutive blobs, $\nu$ is the ambient-to-jet density contrast, M is the Mach number of the first blob, $v_{\rm j}$ is the velocity of each ejected blob (here we indicate the range of values randomly generated by our model), $T_{\rm j}$ is the initial jet temperature, and $n_{\rm a}$ is the ambient density.
