Taking advantage of the wide () field of the CFH12K camera, we
survey the young star population of NGC 6822
to unprecedented radial distances. We
determine the age of the young stars by employing Gallart's et al. ([CITE])
method based on the presence of stars in different boxes in the CMD. We
find that star formation took place up to ~200 Myr ago in a wide
area not always matching the current HI cloud.
A ~50 Myr old association is identified, next to the HI void where no young
stars are seen.
Key words: galaxies: individual: NGC 6822 / galaxies: stellar content / galaxies: structure
