Recent works, both theoretical and observational, have suggested that turbulence could play a non–negligible role in the broadening of emission lines in active galactic nuclei. The purpose of this note is to show how shock wave–turbulence interaction, under unsteady regimes, can affect the broadening of emission lines.
Key words: galaxies: active / shock waves / turbulence / line: formation / line: profiles
